The Belfast International Tattoo has its roots firmly based in the history, music, and dance traditions of the Ulster-Scots culture. Launched in 2013, the event was built on a core vision: to give local piping, drumming, and Highland dance talent a platform to perform in the same spotlight as world-class acts brought in from across Europe and around the globe.

What began as a passionate ambition has quickly grown into a global spectacle. Broadening its reach each year, the Tattoo captivates audiences using state-of-the-art lighting, imaginative graphics, and heart-stopping sound. Recognized with accolades from Tourism NI and broadcast nationwide to over 80,000 viewers on BBC2, the event has firmly established itself as an annual highlight for Northern Ireland.
