2026 Performers
Here’s a glimpse of the incredible acts taking to the stage this year:
Juliana Bicycle Team to Perform at the Belfast International Tattoo in 2026

The Juliana Bicycle Team is a truly unique and historic performance group, with origins dating back to 1909 in the town of Millingen in the Netherlands. What began as a group of enthusiastic local cyclists—at a time when cycling itself was a remarkable and highly valued skill—has evolved into one of the most distinctive and visually captivating artistic cycling teams in the world.
In its earliest days, the club was formed by cyclists undertaking ambitious journeys for their time, including a celebrated round trip to Arnhem. Their passion quickly developed beyond travel, as members began incorporating balance, precision and simple tricks into their riding. Over time, these evolved into carefully choreographed performances, marking the beginning of a unique form of artistic cycling that continues to define the team today.
Innovation has always been central to the Juliana Bicycle Team’s identity. The group played a pioneering role in the development and introduction of the unicycle in performance cycling, creating routines that broke away from traditional competition formats. Their creativity and willingness to push boundaries transformed cycling into a theatrical, high-skill spectacle—one that combines balance, teamwork and breathtaking precision.
Throughout its long history, the team has faced and overcome significant challenges. The disruption of the Second World War saw the club temporarily disbanded, with equipment and achievements lost. Later, in 1973, a devastating fire destroyed their training facility. Yet, with the support of their local community, the team rebuilt and entered a new era of growth—emerging stronger and more determined than ever.
From this point onward, the Juliana Bicycle Team established itself firmly on the international stage. They have performed at major events, festivals and large-scale productions across Europe, appearing in cities such as Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Vienna, as well as internationally in Canada and the United States. Their performances are renowned for combining intricate choreography with impressive acrobatic formations, including large-scale pyramid builds and synchronised routines that demonstrate exceptional skill and teamwork.
Their reputation for excellence has also extended to television audiences, with appearances on major platforms such as Holland’s Got Talent, showcasing their unique style of performance to a wider public. As part of the globally recognised Got Talent format, the show has provided a stage for extraordinary acts since its launch in 2008.
Today, the Juliana Bicycle Team continues to honour its rich heritage while delivering innovative and captivating performances. Their work represents over a century of dedication, creativity and evolution—blending tradition with modern showmanship to create something truly unforgettable.
The Belfast International Tattoo is delighted to welcome the Juliana Bicycle Team to the 2026 programme. Audiences can look forward to a spectacular display of precision, creativity and history in motion—bringing a completely unique dimension to the arena this September.
American Originals Fife and Drum Corps to Perform at the Belfast International Tattoo in 2026

The American Originals Fife and Drum Corps is a distinguished ensemble from the United States, dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich musical traditions of early America. Through their performances, they bring to life the distinctive sounds of the 18th century, offering audiences a rare and authentic insight into a pivotal period of history.
Specialising in historically informed performance, the group recreates the music of the American Revolutionary era with exceptional attention to detail. Using traditional instruments and techniques, their repertoire reflects the marches, signals and melodies that would have accompanied daily life and military activity during that time. The result is a powerful and immersive musical experience that connects modern audiences with the past in a meaningful and memorable way.
At the heart of American Originals is a deep commitment not only to performance, but also to education and preservation. The ensemble places great importance on researching historical sources, ensuring accuracy in both sound and presentation, and passing on these traditions to future generations. Through workshops, demonstrations and performances, they continue to inspire appreciation for this unique musical heritage.

Their dedication to authenticity and excellence has led to performances at prestigious and historic events. Notably, they were invited to perform at the commissioning of the USS Harvey C. Barnum Jr., a globally streamed ceremony marking a significant moment in U.S. naval history. Remarkably, only three individuals in history have been alive to witness a ship being named in their honour, and Colonel Barney C. Barnum Jr. is among them. At his request, the American Originals performed at this landmark occasion, further highlighting the ensemble’s reputation and standing.

Audiences can look forward to a performance that is not only musically engaging, but also steeped in heritage, storytelling and tradition—an experience that perfectly reflects the spirit of the Belfast International Tattoo.
Altnaveigh Memorial Pipe Band to Perform at the Belfast International Tattoo in 2026

Altnaveigh Memorial Pipe Band, based in County Down, has a proud and enduring history within the pipe band community. Founded in 1946, the band was established in memory of those who lost their lives in the Altnaveigh tragedy, and it continues to honour that legacy through music, discipline and community spirit.

Riverina Highlanders Pipe Band to Perform at the Belfast International Tattoo in 2026

Originally established in Autumn of 2014, the Riverina Highlanders was formed with a clear goal: to travel to Indonesia and compete at the Jakarta Highland Games. This inaugural journey marked the beginning of the Band’s international presence. Building on this early success, the ensemble returned to Jakarta the following year, where they achieved outstanding results, earning multiple awards across both solo and band competitions.
The Band draws its members from across southern New South Wales and north-east Victoria — an area collectively known as the Riverina. Renowned as one of Australia’s agricultural regions, the Riverina provides a strong and vibrant community foundation for the ensemble.
Today, the Riverina Highlanders have been reformed as a regional representative band dedicated to preserving and promoting the traditions of Scottish piping and drumming. Their mission is to support musical growth, create pathways for performance at both national and international levels, and celebrate the rich cultural heritage that underpins their art form.
A defining strength of the Band lies in its blend of emerging and experienced musicians. Younger players bring energy and enthusiasm, while seasoned members provide guidance and leadership, creating an environment where all can develop their skills, build confidence, and form lasting community connections.

The Riverina Highlanders are proud and honoured to have been invited to perform at the Belfast International Tattoo in 2026, marking an exciting new chapter in the Band’s continuing journey.
Aughnaskeagh Silver Band to Perform at the Belfast International Tattoo in 2026

Aughnaskeagh Silver Band will be performing at the Belfast International Tattoo this year, marking an exciting moment in the band’s long and proud history.
Music has been a part of life in Aughnaskeagh, near Dromara, for well over a century. Records show that there has been a band in the area since 1894, when a local flute band first formed. Over time, the group evolved and in 1955 the band officially became Aughnaskeagh Silver Band, beginning a new chapter as a brass band.

Traditionally known as a marching band, Aughnaskeagh Silver has been a familiar sight throughout the Dromara and Dromore area, regularly parading at local events and community occasions. The band has also had the privilege of performing at many other events across the region, representing both the village and the wider local band scene.
In recent years the band has experienced a welcome resurgence in membership. A number of younger musicians have joined the group and begun learning their instruments, helping to ensure the continued future of the band. Under the guidance of our talented conductor Gary Shields, the band has also expanded its musical repertoire. Alongside the brass band marches that remain central to our identity, we now perform a broader range of concert pieces that showcase the band’s musical ability.
This year is particularly meaningful for the band as they conclude celebrations marking their 70th anniversary as Aughnaskeagh Silver Band. Reaching this milestone is a testament to the dedication of past and present members who have kept the music alive in the community for generations.
Being invited to perform at the Belfast International Tattoo is therefore a great honour for the band. It provides an opportunity to share their music with a wider audience and to represent our community on a larger stage.
‘As we reflect on our history and look to the future, we are proud to remain part of the vibrant local band scene while also being privileged to take our music further afield. The band looks forward to performing at the event and continuing the musical tradition that has been part of Aughnaskeagh for over 130 years.’
